Feel two pulses, separated by a pause
The browser requests 200 milliseconds of vibration, a 100-millisecond pause and another 200 milliseconds of vibration. Hold the device lightly and compare what you feel. Your confirmation is the evidence; an API return value cannot prove that the motor moved.
Unsupported does not mean broken
Browser and OS support varies, and some systems suppress vibration through power, notification or user-preference settings. If the tool cannot trigger a response, compare a native system haptic action you already use. Do not infer motor damage from a browser-only failure.
This test cannot control intensity, measure haptic strength or reproduce every advanced haptic effect. A weak response may be normal for the device. Persistent missing haptics in native apps as well may require service.
