What a “water-ejection” tone can and cannot do
A speaker diaphragm moves air as it vibrates. Under some conditions that motion may move loose surface droplets around an exposed speaker grille. This browser tool cannot sense moisture, tune itself to your speaker enclosure or verify that water left the device. It is not equivalent to a manufacturer's device-specific water-ejection feature.
Sound cannot repair corrosion, torn membranes, loose connections or internal liquid damage. It is not a reliable dust-removal method. “Cycle complete” means playback was scheduled to finish, not that cleaning succeeded.
Before playing anything
- Start at low system volume. Keep the speaker away from your ears and disconnect headphones or Bluetooth outputs. Do not disable volume protections.
- If the device is wet, follow its manufacturer's drying instructions first. Do not charge it while wet or keep testing a device that is hot, swollen or malfunctioning.
- Use one short attempt only if the device is otherwise safe to operate. Stop immediately if sound is uncomfortable, crackling increases or the device behaves abnormally.
Compare normal audio before and after
Use a familiar spoken clip or the speaker audibility test at the same moderate volume before and after an attempt. A change you hear is an observation, not proof of water removal. Natural drying and output-routing changes can also affect the comparison.
This tool plays a low-level sine sweep from 100 to 300 Hz for ten seconds, with a manual stop and automatic timeout. Actual sound pressure depends on your device and system volume; the page cannot guarantee a safe acoustic level or audibility throughout the range.
