Read these as browser-exposed values
This page assembles values available through the browser and its user-agent information. It is useful for describing the environment when reporting a test problem; it is not a complete hardware inventory.
- CPU cores: a browser-exposed logical concurrency value, which may be limited for privacy. It is not a CPU model or performance score.
- RAM: an approximate value when available; browsers can round or cap it. Unknown does not mean no memory is installed.
- GPU: the rendering context's reported identity may be generic or masked. Software rendering can be intentional and does not prove a faulty GPU.
- Screen: browser screen dimensions can be expressed in CSS pixels and affected by display scaling. They are not reliable sensor or panel specifications.
- Network and battery: optional APIs may be unavailable or return coarse estimates. Use a direct request-timing check or battery-status view for a focused comparison.
Use unknown values constructively
Compare the OS About or System Information screen for exact hardware details. Do not disable privacy protections just to fill a field. When reporting a problem through Contact, include the browser name, OS, affected tool and exact error message; exclude serial numbers and other personal identifiers.
Detection runs locally and does not store the displayed inventory in the diagnostic result store. Ordinary hosting, analytics and advertising requests are separate, as explained in the privacy policy.
